Staycation

We really felt like we needed to get away but can't due to the business of the season and pregnancy all we could do was a "staycation" which is a vacation near home. We drove over to Bradenton FL on the West Coast for a night and had a great time on the beach and exploring that coast. Noah loved it and so did we! We found a great family affordable restaurant on the outskirt of Sarasota, Old Salty Dog Grill. Anyway we had great fish sandwiches sitting on the water at sunset.

We relaxed a bit in the morning and on the way home hit "Carters BBQ" in Mulberry FL. Oh my.. you must try this place, it is out of this world. http://www.cartersbarbque.com/ My chicken sandwich came as a quarter of a chicken breast and wing (with bones) between two pieces of white bread, dripping with a yellow, mustard BBQ sauce. We had to pull over to eat it and all enjoyed it. I also ate up some corn bread and black eyed peas. The ladies were so sweet and southern servin it up too!
